Translator for Kobato: The translator doing Kobato decided to leave the group by saying, “I can’t TL Kobato this week” then not bothering to get on IRC after that. A replacement was made from the current pool of translators, but the replacement is busy on Tuesdays when Kobato airs and would like someone to take his place. A new translator for Kobato has been found.
Translator for Sacred Blacksmith: The translator doing Blacksmith is doing it, but doing it while blogging about how current anime is shit. Either we find a replacement, or we do it until he gets sick of doing it and we end up dropping it.

Bakemonogatari: BD rip plans to do Bakemonogatari have been dropped since we kicked out the only translator who would’ve bothered to TL all of the signs.
Canaan: BD rip plans to do Canaan have been dropped because the BD looks like shit.
Umineko: These BD’s on the other hand look nice. We’re currently bugging encoders about this.

Broadcasting Delays
Kobato: Kobato is taking a week off, and episode 5 will air on November 10th.
Bakemonogatari Webcast: The Bakemonogatari webcast of episode 13 was delayed until November 2nd, meaning SHAFT started animating it yesterday while feeding their animators cat food. Edit: As you may have already heard, the Bakemonogatari webcast was delayed yet again.

A bit early for this I guess, but we were looking at Katanagatari.
It always comes down to this. Starting over 9000 projects and in the end never going to finish them.

Coalgirls are only using qIIq’s typesetting, the dialogues are from Koharubi.
About Thora: The additionals files coming along with the episodes are the extras (audio commentary, TV previews, TL Notes) and the ED (’cause of ordered chapters).
Coalgirls are doing the same, but you don’t have to download every single file if you don’t want them, you know…

I second this. Takes a few years of study, then a few years of immersion to be able to fully understand an anime without subtitles (Unless you’re James Bond)
Though I respectfully disagree with the blacksmith>kobato thing. I like Blacksmith, but if I had to choose it would be “Kobato, gambaremasu!” (>.<)

Thanks for the weekly subs. It is sad that you won’t be releasing Bakemonogatari BD, but is there any chance that you could at least sub the commentary tracks? I heard that they are really good but sadly no group has decided to sub them till now.
Shame about the Canaan BD. I’ve sampled it myself and can’t see why they even bothered releasing it on that format. It’s pretty much an upscale of the DVD master, only with added LPCM audio rather than the DVD version DD 2.0. :S
Umineko BD would be cool. Like with the Higurashi Rei BD’s, they don’t look stunning, but certainly worthy of a 720p release. I’m sure many would be interested in that.
